ESTEPONA

After highlighting the points of interest in the city of Malaga, today we will focus on a tour around Estepona, considered a first class tourist centre due to its great cultural offer, its unique environment and climate. It offers everything from guided tours of the old town by bicycle to dolphin-sighting tours!

Selwo Aventura. It is the most outstanding theme park and zoo. It covers an area of 100 hectares and has more than 2,000 species from all continents and life forms. It was inaugurated in 1999 and since then, it has been growing and expanding its offer. It has all kinds of activities, and even the possibility of staying within the same complex in the Selwo Hotel, which is made up of 23 cabins that simulate African constructions. They are made of stone and wood but, inside, they have all the resources to guarantee your comfort, such as A.C., hydromassage bathtubs, television... It opens uninterruptedly from 10h-18h from M to Sun.

The Orchidarium of Estepona This botanical park is one of the most outstanding in Europe, with more than 1,300 species spread across three different levels and microclimates, ensuring that they are in the optimum habitat for this collection of species. There is no need to book in advance to visit, so there is no excuse not to go inside and enjoy this variety of flowers and species. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 10-13.30/15-18 and Sundays from 10-14. We recommend going late in the afternoon - especially in winter - when the glass domes are illuminated.

Route of the Artistic Murals.  Called one of the great bets on urban art, it is made up of 60 murals. Many of them are located in the historic centre, so you can stroll through the streets and enjoy this artistic movement. It is in Estepona where we find the largest vertical mural in Spain, called DAY OF FISHING by J.Fernández Rios, which occupies up to 6 facades! But this idea is not very old, it came about in 2012 and was co-financed by la Caixa and, since then, it has been a very interesting idea,

Marina Estepona Marina. Another of the visits that we must make in the municipality: this port with more than 400 moorings and with numerous services to make mooring in it as comfortable as possible. It is an ideal place to visit and has nightlife to enjoy a lovely evening.

Rada Beach. Ideal for lovers of fine sandy beaches and is the most emblematic of the town. Its grey sand and moderate waves make it the perfect place to enjoy and relax on its more than 2km long beach. Designed with the youngest members of the family in mind, it has several play areas and trampolines to use after a swim or a visit to the city centre.

Dolphin watching activities. This activity can be combined with a visit to the marina, where you can enjoy the beauty of the dolphins in the wild. There are also different options, to go alone or in a group and, for those who are looking for a more intimate alternative, you can book a boat where the team will offer you all kinds of drinks and snacks and will guide you through the waters to try to spot them.

South Coast Adventures. Designed for the most adventurous people, we chose South Coast, one of the most complete leisure companies in the province that offers a wide variety of guided activities to get to know and learn about a wide range of activities in the natural environment. Among the most popular activities, we find activities such as downhill biking, guided tours, canyoning and various alternatives to practice the via ferrata.
