Putting your children's safety first: Spanish regulations

Travelling as a family is a wonderful experience, but when it comes to logistics, parents know that «improvising» is not an option. When landing at Malaga Airport, one of the most frequent concerns is the child restraint system (CRS).

In Spain, the law is strict: children of 135 cm or less must always use an approved restraint system adapted to their weight and height. Standard taxis at the airport rank do not always have suitable seats (or only have one), which can force you to wait for a long time or, worse still, to travel unsafely.

Forget about checking in a car seat

Many parents carry their own chairs on the plane, paying extra baggage fees and risking damage in the hold. With Costa del Sol Bus, that is not necessary.

Our «Family Friendly» service:

  • Free chairs (on request): We have Maxi-Cosis (Group 0), Child seats (Group 1/2) and booster seats (Group 3). Simply indicate this when booking.
  • Space for trolleys: Our Mercedes V-Class Minivans have huge luggage compartments. The baby pram fits in without having to dismantle the whole thing and do a Tetris with the luggage.
  • Smooth driving: Our drivers are parents too. They understand that with a baby on board, driving must be smooth and without braking.
