MIJAS
As we enter the village situated in the foothills of the sierra, we can find one of the most photogenic places in the province, where there are flowerpots and flowers adorning the streets and a great viewpoint overlooking the sea. This is also the village where the idea of the donkey-taxi was born.
Traditionally, in the 1960s, donkeys were used by day labourers to return home after work.
With the arrival of tourists, they were gradually being asked to take the donkey for a ride around the village. And it was at this point that this concept was born.
And that's why our first stop in the village is at the Plaza Virgen de la Peñawhere there is a remembrance of the figure of the donkey and its importance in the village.

- Mirador del Compás: Through this viewpoint, we will be able to appreciate the most complete panoramic view: hills, houses and the sea.
- Flour MillThe mills of yesteryear were recreated and built according to the traditional pattern and infrastructure.
- Wall Street: is the famous street where the blue flowerpots stand out against the white facades. Some of them even have poetry painted on them.
- Bullring: Inaugurated in 1900, it is the third oldest square in the country. It was built at the request of the inhabitants themselves and still hosts equestrian events today.
