Caminito del Rey Adventure: Why a Private Bus is the Safest Option

Caminito del Rey Adventure: Why a Private Bus is the Safest Option

Walking the «King’s Little Path» Without the Stress

The Caminito del Rey It has gone from being the «world’s most dangerous path» to one of Spain’s safest tourist attractions. Suspended 100 metres above the ground against the walls of the Gaitanes Gorge, it is a breathtaking experience. However, its remote location makes getting there a challenge.

The Logistics Trap

The route is linear, not circular. You start at the Northern Access (Ardales) and finish at the Southern Access (El Chorro). If you’re driving your own car:

  1. You must park in the North car park (which is often full).
  2. Walk the path (7 km).
  3. Wait in a long queue for a public shuttle bus to take you back to your car in the north.
  4. Drive back, feeling tired, along winding mountain roads.

The Better Way: Private Group Transport

For hiking clubs, large families or corporate team-building days, hiring a coach with Costa del Sol Bus is the best choice. Here’s how it works:

  • We’ll drop you off right at the entrance to the Northern Access.
  • Whilst you enjoy the hike and take photos, our driver will move the coach to the Southern Access.
  • When you’ve finished your walk, tired but happy, the bus will be waiting for you right there. No shuttles, no waiting, no driving.

Combine your trip with a lunch stop at a local «Venta» to try traditional Migas or Porra Antequerana. We ensure your adventure is seamless and safe.
