Sotogrande is the jewel of the coast, but it is over 100 km (approx. 1 hour 15 mins) from Málaga Airport (AGP). It is a long journey to undertake in a standard taxi, and the fare can be astronomical due to the distance and toll roads (AP-7).
Taking a taxi from the rank is a gamble. If there’s traffic near Marbella, the meter keeps running. With Costa del Sol Bus, you pay a fixed price agreed in advance. No surprises.
