Golf, Sun, and San Miguel
Let’s be honest about golf holidays. The golf is important, but the social aspect—the banter, the food, and the drinks—is equally vital. The «19th Hole» (the clubhouse bar) is where the day’s winners are celebrated and the losers buy the rounds.
In the UK or Ireland, you might have a designated driver system. But on holiday in the Costa del Sol, no one wants to be the designated driver. Everyone wants to enjoy a cold beer or a Rioja after 4 hours in the sun.
Strict Spanish Traffic Laws
Spain has very strict drink-driving laws (0.5 g/l limit, and even lower for professionals). Police checkpoints (Control de Alcoholemia) are frequent on the roundabouts leading out of popular golf resorts like La Cala or Nueva Andalucia, especially in the afternoons.
The Risk vs. The Solution
Risking a rental car and your license is simply not worth it. The cost of a fine—or worse, an accident—far outweighs the cost of professional transport.
The Bus Costa del Sol Freedom:
- Drink Responsibly, Travel Safely: The entire group can enjoy the hospitality of the clubhouse. Have that extra pint. Stay for lunch.
- Door-to-Door Nightlife: Our service often extends into the evening. After you shower at the hotel, we can take the group to Puerto Banus or Benalmadena Marina for dinner and pick you up later.
Make your golf holiday about relaxation, not restriction.
